Judy and I met today to have some lunch at my house in Bradford and to do a still life session together..... it were a right Cake and Arts Party lol! We enjoyed it so much, we plan to get together regularly in future, probably once a month. This is simply to encourage each other to paint/draw more regularly, something we have both said we'd like to do, but tend not to give a high enough priority to if left to our own devices.

I'm picking up my pencils, brushes and paints for the first time in a couple of years now, and I'm starting a portrait of my daughter. SCAARRRRYYYYYY!!

Just been through my old portfolio from 1999-2000, the things that survived last year's ruthless cull. While I love nothing in it, there's one or two things I actually LIKE, and I'm trying not to get into self-defeating "if only I'd kept up the practice" mindset and think that THAT boat has sailed, and simply see this as a new springboard.
